What the CIA Gateway Process Really Says About Manifestation

I have read many articles and watched numerous YouTube videos where people are saying that the CIA Gateway Process can teach you how to manifest, and that the CIA proves manifestation is real.

But it’s not true. The CIA did not say that you can manifest using this process. I have read CIA documents and conducted research which I am going to share in this article to explain why the CIA Gateway Process does not mean manifestation.

What is the CIA Gateway Process?

The CIA carried out a research project in the 1980s called the Gateway Process, also referred to as the Gateway Experience. Its goal was to investigate methods that would improve mental comprehension and human consciousness.

The participants, who included CIA employees and occasionally outside specialists, received training in techniques such as inducing altered states of consciousness through meditation and the use of binaural beats, or sound frequencies.

The program, which looked into how these altered states can enhance intelligence gathering and processing, was grounded in scientific investigation.

While the document does discuss the potential applications of the Gateway Process, including remote viewing and psychic phenomena, it does not provide any evidence or support for the concept of manifestation.

Misconceptions about the CIA Gateway Process and Manifestation

Recently, some have claimed that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has revealed that manifestation is real, citing a declassified document from 1983. However, a closer examination of the document and the CIA’s stance on manifestation reveals that this claim is simply not true.

The document in question, “Analysis and Assessment of Gateway Process” (Document Number: CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5), does not mention manifestation at all.

Although some manifestation proponents could see these CIA programs as validated evidence for their theories, the scientific community as a whole is still dubious.

The CIA’s research was not up to the rigorous standards needed to demonstrate the efficacy of manifestation as it is commonly understood; instead, it was frequently ambiguous, contentious, and morally dubious.

They have only discussed enhancing consciousness and mental abilities through similar techniques. People have mistakenly associated these discussions with manifestation, believing that the CIA’s research proves manifestation is possible and that you can manifest through such methods.

Further examination of their documents will clarify what they actually said and what people are claiming.

Debunking the Myth: The CIA Gateway Process and Manifestation

In recent times, there has been a growing misconception that the CIA’s Gateway Process proves or teaches the concept of manifestation.

However, a closer look at the declassified document reveals that this is not the case.

The Gateway Experience, as assessed by the CIA, is rooted in scientific methodologies aimed at altering consciousness through brainwave synchronization.

1. Scientific Basis

The document emphasizes the need for a scientifically valid model of how consciousness functions under the brain hemisphere synchronization technique. It states:

“I had to be able to construct a scientifically valid and reasonably lucid model of how consciousness functions under the influence of the brain hemisphere synchronization technique employed by Gateway.”

2. Scientific and Physiological Focus

This line emphasizes the scientific approach of biofeedback, focusing on brain functions and self-cognitive powers rather than metaphysical concepts.

“Biofeedback is somewhat unique in that it actually employs the self-cognitive powers of the left hemisphere to gain access to such areas of the right brain as the lower cerebral, motor and sensory cortices and assorted pain or pleasure centers.” (Section 4)

3. Biofeedback Techniques

A significant portion of the document describes biofeedback, a technique used to train the brain. It highlights:

“Biofeedback teaches the left hemisphere first to visualize the desired result and then to recognize the feelings associated with the experience of successful right hemisphere access to the specific lower cerebral, cortex, pain or pleasure or other areas in the manner needed to produce the desired result.” (Section 4)

4. Hemi-Sync and Coherence

The Gateway Experience uses the metaphor of a laser beam to describe the focused state of the mind achieved through Hemi-Sync:

“The human mind under the discipline of Hemi-Sync acts after the fashion of a laser beam which produces a disciplined stream of light. The stream of energy is projected with total coherence of both frequency and amplitude such that the surface area of a laser beam contains billions of times the concentrated energy found in a similar surface area on the sun.” (Section 6)

5. Encouraging Full Self-Knowledge and Advanced Techniques

The document also emphasizes the importance of self-knowledge and advanced techniques:

“Encourage the pursuit of full self-knowledge by all individuals involved in the foregoing experiments to enhance objectivity in out-of-body observation and thinking, and to remove personal energy blockages likely to retard rapid progress.”

“Encourage more advanced Gateway participants to build holographic patterns of successful attainment and rapid progress for advanced colleagues to assist them in progressing through the Gateway system.”

Overall Objective

The ultimate goal of the Gateway Experience is described as:

“Fundamentally, the Gateway Experience is a training system designed to bring enhanced strength, focus, and coherence to the amplitude and frequency of brainwave output between the left and right hemispheres so as to alter consciousness, moving it outside the physical sphere so as to ultimately escape even the restrictions of time and space.” (Page 28)

Conclusion

The CIA Gateway Process has given rise to many misconceptions, most of which were related to manifestation. However, the CIA documents have made it clear that the focus of the Gateway Process was on scientific methods.

There is no proof in these documents where manifestation is mentioned. It’s important to differentiate between scientific exploration and metaphysical claims.

We can escape the unsubstantiated belief about manifestation by realizing the objective of the Gateway Process.
