This is a great self-care practice to do each morning, even when you don’t feel anxious. If you’d like to track your practice, I recommend making a note of how anxious you feel each morning before you complete this exercise, using a scale of zero to 10, and seeing if there are any patterns to what impacts your rating over the course of the day. Adding affirmations for anxiety can further enhance the benefits of this practice.
As I share each affirmation for anxiety, I’d like you to repeat it for yourself. You can do this silently, write them down in a journal, record them, listen, or say them out loud to yourself in a mirror.
If you want to know how to create affirmations for yourself and how to practice them, you can read my other post, “What Are Affirmations.” Your mind believes what you tell it, and it can take five positive thoughts to counteract one negative thought.

You can use affirmations in several ways:
- Say them out loud in front of a mirror.
- Write them in a journal each morning or evening.
- Record them in your voice and play them back during a walk or rest time.
- Repeat them during meditation or breathwork.
Choose what feels natural—consistency is more important than perfection. If you track your anxiety level daily (from 0–10), you may begin to notice how affirmations help shift your mindset.

What are Affirmations?
Affirmations in the anxiety world are quite an attractive idea because they don’t really take that much conscious effort to listen to. I can attest to this idea because when I was suffering from anxiety, I was overwhelmed.
If you had told me that I needed to put in a certain degree of conscious effort into something in order to get a result that I thought I wouldn’t even get, I would have preferred to sit and listen to affirmations instead, in the hopes of feeling better towards the things that I was afraid of.
Today is a very special day because I will equip you with what I believe may be one of the most powerful affirmations that you can do for your anxiety disorder.
The most powerful affirmations are the ones that use the word “because” within them to give a reason for why the affirmation is true for you. You will notice in this affirmation, there is the word “because,” and this is meant to be there for a very specific purpose.
Do Affirmations Really Help with Anxiety?
Affirmations work by gently shifting your inner dialogue. Anxiety often loops around fearful or catastrophic thoughts. By introducing calm, rational, loving thoughts—even if they feel unfamiliar at first—you’re training your mind to find safety, peace, and balance. Over time, affirmations can become your inner voice.
